Rajat Gupta is a Senior Lecturer & Consultant in the Software Systems Practice at NUS-ISS. He brings over 19 years of experience in software engineering, technology operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and complex enterprise systems integration & migration, with a core focus on the banking and fintech domains.

He has held senior technical lead roles across prominent global financial institutions and technology enterprises, where he spearheaded the design, migration, and delivery of highly secure, resilient, and enterprise-grade digital platforms. He has driven strategic digital transformations and platform engineering initiatives at OCBC Bank, Top Image Systems (now Tungsten Automation), Sopra Steria, and Birlasoft. He has architected and deployed enterprise-scale solutions for tier-1 global clients and institutions, including Axway, EverBank, GE Commercial Finance, GE Healthcare, and GE Capital.

Throughout his career, he has delivered high-impact technical milestones across the enterprise lifecycle. He orchestrated the architectural modernization of software systems by shifting legacy monolithic frameworks into cloud-native microservices architectures. He has championed in-house engineering capabilities, eliminated vendor dependencies, and built robust SRE monitoring patterns to optimize platform reliability and compress SLA cycles. His expertise includes working within Axway's R&D department, where he developed various custom middleware connectors to seamlessly integrate Salesforce with open-source tools, internal research frameworks, and client-facing applications. He implemented intelligent document processing systems for global banks like Citibank, BNP Paribas, and SMBC, constructed high-throughput integration layers, and led extensive legacy software migrations to meet strict regulatory compliance.
